Drangti Panchen Namkha Palzang
He was born in 1535 of the Fire Sheep year of Ninth Rabjung in Do Joed Tashi Ling of Glorious Sakya, Tibet as the son of Father Kunga Dhondup and Mother Lhamo Budren. He was given Choekyong Paljor as his name. From Namkha Sangey he took barma rabjung (mediocre renunciation vow). He was 16 years of age when he received teachings on texts such as Abhisamayalankara and Hevajramulatantra (two segments of tantra). Then came to Evam Choedhen. On 17 years of age, from Thamched Khyenpa Konchok Lhundup as the abbot and Je Sangey Sengey and so on received the vows of a novice (Shramaner) became ordained as a novice monk. He was given the name Konchok Palden. At 24 years of age, from abbot Sangey Sengey and master of ceremony Jey Sharkahngpa and so on received the full ordination vows. (no full ordination name)
From these abbot and preceptor received complete teachings of four classes of tantras and complete package of precious teachings related to Lam Dre. Also, from number of scholars and siddhas including mantra-dhara Kunrin, Nyenchen Dakpa Lodoe, Choeje Lodoe Dakpa. Ngaripa Lodoe Zangpo, jangling pa Rinchen Tashi Gyaltsen, Tsarchen and so on empowerments, tantra, pithy instructions (upadesha) etc listening contemplating completed. From his father received teachings of four tantras pf healing. At 45th of age, in the earth rabbit year coronated as the throne holder of Ngor Evam.
Until Horse year, dutifully propagated the continuity/tradition of empowerment, oral transmission, and pithy instructions by imparting the complete teachings including instructions of Lamdre, the essence of all sutras and tantras,16 times and so on. During Water Horse Year, having offered the position of throne holder to Jetsun Konchok went into strict meditational retreat. At 56 years of age, he again undertook the duty of the throne holder and travelled and imparted teachings at great seat of Sakya, Ngamring, Jagoed Shong, Thubten Nagyal, Drey yul Kyedtsal and so on.
His disciples included the gurus of different seats Mantradhara Dakpa Lodoe etc. Great throne holder Kunga Sonam Brothers etc of Tsedhong, Choeje Rinchen Tashi the abbot of Thubten Kyedtsal and so on Also, several followers from lower Tibet including Choeje Pladen Choedak and Choeje Sonam Dhondup, etc.
His compositional work are three volumes which are concerned with NamThar (liberation stories of masters), group of praises and Instructional texts exists for disciples. Eventually at Sixty-nine year of age, in the year 1602 of Iron Tiger year of Tenth Rabjung of Tibet, passed away peacefully.
