Jampa Namkha Chimey
He was born in the wooden bird of 13th Rabjung of year 1765 in Gyatso Ling of Yeyrui Nyang Med Tsen, as the son of Father Tadrin and Mother Drolma. At six years of age, he arrived in Ngor Thartse. He completed listening and contemplation of the study of general knowledge of literature and always required seven treatises. At seven years of age from Khangsar Khenchen Ngawang Choekyong received upasika and shramanera’s vows. He was given the name of Namkha Chimey.
At twenty years of age, at glorious Sakya from great abbot Jinpa Tashi, activity in charge Jampa Sonam Zangpo took the full ordination vows. From Khangsar Khenchen Ngawang Choekyong Zangpo received Lam Dre Group Presentation (Tsog Shed), from Jamgon Ngawang Kunga Lodoe received both Lam Dre Tsog Lob.
Having relied upon Phen Khang Oen Rinpoche Rinchen Drub etc fifteen eminent masters he gained knowledge of buddhist and non-buddhist field of knowledge. Successfully completed the listening and contemplation about tri pitakas and four collections of tantras. At 25th years of age. He was appointed upon the throne of akanishta evam chodhen throne as the regent of Ngawang Phuntsok.
Through Three Vows and Lamdre he bestowed number of ripening and liberating teachings. At 29th year of age, he appointed scholar and meditation master Ngawang Thamchoe as his regent. At 30 years of age, having travelled to Deghe Lhundrub Teng for 11 years worked for the benefit of teachings and sentient beings. After that, he came back to Ngor and for few years gave teachings and popularised precious Lam Dre and other teachings. Again. Having travelled to Markham until his passing away/death he worked for sentient beings through dharma of profundity and vastness.
His disciples included Khenchen Jampa Sonam Paljor. Khenchen Jampa Kunga Tenzin, Khenchen Naljor Jampal Zangpo, Lhasey tsewang Dorje and so on many others. Some of his compositions related to sacred rituals exists for the benefit of disciples. Further, there exists number of holy body holy speech and holy mind including a white manjushri statue made up of 50 kilos of silver. Eventually, at fifty-six years of age in the 14th Rabjung of iron dragon in 1820 year, at Phen Ling Labdrang of Deghe Lhundrub Teng he passed away into Nirvana.
