Jamyang Kunga Sonam

He was born in 1571 of the Iron Sheep year of tenth Rabjung in Do Joed in Tsedhong Zimkhang as the son of Father Kunga Delek and Mother Palbhu. He was given Dorje Gyasog as his name. At nine years of age, he arrived in Ngor.From abbot Je Konchok Palden and Loppon Dangtipa and so on became renounced. Was given Kunga Sonam Lhundrup Tashi Dakpa Gyaltsen Pal Zabngpo as his name. Thartse Panchen as the abbot and Jampa Rabten as precetor amidst an assemblage of required number of monks he got fully ordained. He relied upon many masters including these abbot and preceptor and Thubten Khenchen Japa Kunga Rabten etc number of scholars and meditation masters and received number of teachings of Sutra and Mantra including precious Lamdre teaching. In the wooden horse year at Nalandra monastery from lumpa jampa kunga choedak and Sheu Lotsar (so known) as facilitators got coroated as the abbot. In the wooden hare year, immediately after passing away of Sharchen Jampa Kunga Choedak was appointed the throne holder of the Ngor seat. Worked for the benefit of sentient beings amd teaching by turning the wheel of dharma of Sutra and Vajrayana including teaching 4 times precious lamdre teachings.

Eventually at the age of seventy-two in the year 1642 of water male horse of eleventh Rabjung he passed away into nirvana.
