Jamyang Sherab Gyatso

He was born in the middle of the 14th Rabjung and upper part of the 19th century, in Tsang Ring Men Thangpa Khenchen Ngawang Lodoe Zangpo’s in family. From a very young age, the potential to noble hood was ripened. Was invited to guru palace/abode of Ngor Khang Sar.

He was born in the middle of the 14th Rabjung and upper part of the 19th century, in Tsang Ring Men Thangpa Khenchen Ngawang Lodoe Zangpo’s in family. From a very young age, the potential to noble hood was ripened. Was invited to guru palace/abode of Ngor Khang Sar. Memorised four minor tantras etc. Got ordained in a ceremony presided over by Jampa Kunga Tenzin as the abbot and Yogi Jampal Sangpo as the activity in charge. From that great abbot heard Disciple-Presentation and from Naljor Jampal Zangpo heard the complete teaching of Assembly-Presentation. Further, from eminent masters such as Paldhen Choekyi Gyaltsen, Ngawang Lodoe Tenzin, Kunga Tenpei Lodoe, Five-sciences-realised Jigmed Paldhen, Khuna Chogtrul etc heard and contemplated on the meanings of sutra, mantra together with knowledge of five sciences. Especially from Thartse Dorje Chang Jampa Kunga Tenpei Gyaltsen he heard and contemplated on Precious Lamdre teachings, many other Vajrayana teachings including seven mandalas of ngorpa tradition and completed Hevajra etc four base meditational retreat. He ascended upon the dharma throne of Ngorchen Vajradhara in the Fire tiger year. Turned the wheel of dharma uninterruptedly including precious Lamdre teachings etc. His disciples included Ngawang Lodoe Nyingpo, Deghe Lhasey Lama, Ling Lhasey, Jigmed Paldhen etc many others. His composition work also included Chabshog etc few dharma texts exist for the revival of disciples. Although superb in compassion and wisdom he did not live very long to further three enlightening activities of a scholar. On the 10th Mongolian month, he passed away peacefully.
