Je Lhachog Senge

He was born as the son of father Ponney Kunga Gyaltsen and mother Genyen Konchog Bum in the year 1468 (Earth Rat year of Eighth Rabjung) in Glorious Sakya. At 11 years of age became ordained as a monk under Kunkhyen Sonam Sengge and was given the name Lhachog Sengge.

At 11 years of age became ordained as a monk under Kunkhyen Sonam Sengge and was given the name Lhachog Sengge. From that Guru received vast number of teachings including Lam Dre and so on. Also, studied literature and practised sutras and mantras marked by Lamdre from number of scholars and realised masters including Zurchenpa, Yongzin Rinpoche, Drungney Thondrup Sherabpa, Gyalwa Kathubpa, Choeje Lowo Khenchen, Muechen Sangrin

At twenty-six years of age, he became fully ordained with the ceremony facilitated by Yongzin Konchog Phelwa as the abbot and Jatang Kunga Chogdhen with the duty of key tasks performer of the ceremony. In the year of Fire Rat Je Sangye Rinchen appointed him on the throne of the seat of Glorious Evam Choedhen.

Travelled to Thartse and there as part of secret method, while producing nectar pills, the residual tormas of the assembly of sanghas were received by two red foxes always which is similar to jackals taking the residuals tormas when tsog by Master Metripa in India. There were number of wondrous signs while producing nectar pills. Had visions of number of dharma protectors and tutelary deities and received many prophecies by them, performed immeasurable deeds for the sake of sentient beings and dharma. King of scholars Konchok Lhundup appointed as the abbot. At sixty eighth years of age, in 1535 during wooden sheep year of eighth Rabjung passed away.
