Khedrub Ngawang Thamchoe
He was born in 13th Rabjung of Fire Monkey in the year 1776 at a place called Rhogong Teng of Rongyul. Moved and motivated by faith and thoughts of genuine renunciation he came to Ngor Evam Choedhen. He conducted listening and contemplating upon the texts comprising 4 minor tantras and seven always required treatises. From the great abbot Sangye Dakpa, he got ordained as a fully ordained monk.
Furthermore, under the guidance of eminent masters including from Ngawang Phuntsok, Khedrup Kunga Sonam, Thartse Namkha Chimed and so on received teachings of ripening and liberating backed by oral transmission. Perfectly completed listening, contemplating and meditation on the teachings mentioned above.
He was appointed as the substitute for Jampa Namkha Chimed upon the dharma throne of Ngorchen Kunga Sangpo. Precious Lam dre teachings and so on four classes of Tantras ripening and liberating stream. Vows of pratimoksha, bodhisattva and so on through gift of dharma benefitted vast assembly of disciples. His disciples included Ngawang Lodoe Zangpo, Eminent master Palden Choekyi Gyaltsen and so on number of disciples produced. At 29th year of age, wooden bird year of 12th date of the 12th Mongolian month he gathered his holy body in the sphere of phenomena (his passing away year is clearly mentioned in the Kunga Tenzin’s autobiography)
