Khedup Paldhen Choekyong
He was born in 1702 of the water horse year of 12th Rabjung, as the son of father kunga dorje and mother buthrid. He was given the name dorjee phuntsog. At 7 years of age, having offered the tuft of his hair to his uncle tenzin lhundrub. At that year under Khenpo jampa palsang and matchless sonam paldhen and so on he took his novice monk vows. He did his study of hevajratantra (tag nyi) and three vows through listening and contemplation. From Sonam Paldhen he received verbal instructions on path together with results and chakrasamvara, vajrabhairava and kilaya and so on. At 19-year pf age, he became a fully ordained monk under great abbot sonam zangpo and Vinaya upholder lodroe phuntsog and so on. These abbots and preceptors also from lobsang kalsang Gyatso. Gadhen great throne holder rabjampa jampa, kunga tashi, kunga sonam rinchen, kunga lodroe, thutob wangchuk, tsungmed tenzin lhundrub, Karmapa red and black hat, drigung zhabdrung rinpoche, drukpa all knower, rigzin mindrol lingpa, dzogchen tulku etc from twenty eminent masters studied (listening and contemplation) a big amount of sutra and mantras. He undertook meditational retreat on number of tutelary deities. Between the age of 25 and 28, at Ngor Evam, to the sanghas he gave offerings and dharma teachings. During earth bird year, he went to tharlam monastery and worked for dharma for three years.
At 31st year of age, in water ox year, he was appointed upon the dharma throne of ngorchen vajradhara. He turned the wheel of dharma uninterruptedly on teachings such as precious lamdre teachings and so on.
At 38 years of age, having appointed khenpo jampa sonam zangpo as his regent he went to deghe lhundrub teng (upper). For fifteen years, within greater Tibet area covering deghe and so on worked for the benefit of dharma and sentient beings. His compositions also included rang nam etc two volumes. At sixty years of age, 1760 of iron dragon year of 13th Rabjung he passed away into nirvana.
