Khenchen (Jamgon) Lhundup Palden

He was born in 1624 in the wooden rat year of the tenth rabjung as the son of Father dorje thar and mother gyuzag in minyag dhunpar of dhokham and was named konchok tashi. 

From a very young age he set out to memorise alphabets onwards to daily prayers, abhisamayalankara and so on number of great treatises. 

At 24 years of age, he came to evam and from Master sherab jungney’s kindness took the three vows was given the name Lhundup Palden. 

From sharchen himself, sakya shabdrung amilag yeysey. Lhen chen sonam Gyatso and so on received a total of 15 times lamdre accumulated from 5 in each year. He engaged in inconceivable amount of hearing and contemplation. 

At thirty-seven years of age, he was the chant master of prayer and tutor at Ngor. At 50 years of age, in the water ox year having ascended to the dharma throne of Ngorchen Kunga Sangpo turned the wheel of dharma uninterruptedly marked by teaching precious lamdre teachings 15 times. His disciples included Sakyapa ngawang sonam Wangchuk father and son, dhagchen kunga tsahi, sharchen sangay tenzin, those at Ngor Seat, thubten Go nyi, upper and lower kyedtsul produced number of disciples and devotees. His composition included biographies, praises to gurus and so on a set of dharma. At sixty third years of age, having given the great seat to Sangey Phuntsok, he engaged in meditational retreat. Eventually, at seventy fourth years of age in the year of fire ox year of 12th rabjung, in 1697, in phendhe khang at Ngor Evam he passed away.
