Ludhing Khenchen Jayman Tenpei Nyima
He was born as the son of father Luding Tashi Gyaltsen and mother Penkyid in the Iron Sheep Year of 16th Rabjung of the year 1939. At ten years of age, he traveled to Upper Gawa of Eastern Tibet and, in the presence of his uncle Vajradhara, offered the tuft of his hair and became a monk. He was given the name Jamyang Tenpei Nyima. He heard several teachings, including the Hundred Sadhanas, etc. At 12 years of age, he got involved in the study of dharma at Thargay Monastery. At 13 years of age, from the great abbot Vajradhara Ngawang Khedup Gyatso, he heard a number of profound teachings, such as the Collection of Tantras. Then he went back to Ngor. There, from his uncle Vajradhara, he heard a number of teachings, including Precious Lamdre Teachings, etc. For more than three years, he undertook and completed several meditational retreats of deities such as Hevajra and so on. At 19 years of age, in an ordination ceremony presided over by his uncle Vajradhara as the abbot, Chogtrul Lungtog Gyaltsen as the activity in charge, and so on, he became a fully ordained monk.
In the Iron Hair year, he traveled to Kyegu Monastery in place of his uncle and carried out activities for the benefit of dharma and sentient beings. At 24 years of age, in the wooden horse year, he ascended upon the throne of the Khenpo of Evam Choedhen. For three years, he took the responsibility of the Throne-Khenpo and bestowed many pithy instructions of precious LamDre teachings. In the Fire year, he handed over the Throne-Abbot to Khangsar Khenrinpoche. At 29 years of age, due to changes in time, he went to India, where at different points in time he heard some teachings, including precious lamdre teachings from the throne holder of the Glorious Sakyapa school. Also, from the great master of Phuntsok Palace, Phendhe Khenchen, Chogye Trichen, Kyegon Khenchen Ngaga, Thargon Khenpo Jampal Lodoe, Khenchen Apey Rinpoche, etc, in summary, from relying upon a total of up to twenty gurus, he received empowerment, oral transmissions, explanation teachings, pithy instructions, as well as completed the study of many important knowable topics of such as sutras, mantras, and treatises. In the Iron Sheep year, he established new dharma centers of Sa Ngor, where he gave the pithy instructions of precious Lamdre teachings to the assembly and disciples. In the Earth Horse year, within the great noble land of India in Dehradun, he took primary responsibility in establishing the main monastery/headquarters of Ngorpa School. He traveled to Tibet twice and renovated the Ngorpa Monastery in Tibet. He gave Lamdre for assembly 12 times and Lamdre for discipleship 3 times. Since he was 24 years old, when he took the responsibility of the Throne-Abbot until he was seventy years of age, except for a few years, he carried out the duties of a Throne-Abbot. He handed over that responsibility to Luding and Thartse Khenpo. From then on, he remained primarily in meditational retreat.
On the 28th of December 2022, he passed away peacefully.
