Master Konchok Palden

He was born in 1526 of the Fire Dog year of Ninth Rabjung in Nyenkhang Sar of Glorious Sakya, Tibet as the son of Father Lhamo Thar and Mother Palden Bugha. He was given Tseten Dhodub as his name.

He was born in 1526 of the Fire Dog year of Ninth Rabjung in Nyenkhang Sar of Glorious Sakya, Tibet as the son of Father Lhamo Thar and Mother Palden Bugha. He was given Tseten Dhodub as his name. He arrived in Evam when he was 13 years of age and became ordained as a novice monk amidst Master Konchok Lhundub as the presiding Khenpo and Choeje Gelek Sheynyen as the in charge aiding the ritual activities. He was given the name Konchok Palden.

From 16 to 24 years of age, at Dreyul Kyedtsal completed education of causal metaphysical dialectics vehicle under Kunkhyen Sherab Odser. On 29th years of age, he got fully ordained under Khenpo Master Konchok Lhundup and Master of ceremony Jamyang Sherab etc. From these abbot and master and from Master Jamyang Sangey Senge and so on he heard (received) several profound teachings such as Lam Dre. Also, from great mantra-yana master Sher-Od, Jangsem Kongyal, Chen Nga Konchok Gyatso etc, having gone across the ocean of hearing became diligent in actual meditation (drubpa). From 35 years onwards started teaching dharma at dharma institutions such as Evam Choedhe and other learning centres.

After the passing away of master Sangey Senge, as requested by master Sherab Gyaltse and others, he, at 44 years of age was appointed the throne holder of Evam. He turned the wheel of dharma uninterruptedly marked by teaching precious Lamdre teaching twenty times etc. 

Having travelled to Sakya, Zhalu, Tsedhong, Thubten Yangpachen and other places propagated number of deeds of teaching and listening.

Again, took the responsibility of the seat of Evam in the horse year. His disciples included Jamyang Kunga Delek, Drakpa Gyaltsen father and son, Jampa Ngawang Sonam, Wangpo Dakpa Gyaltsen. Choeje Namkha Palsang, Bumram Rabjampa Gyalwa Lodoe and many others.

His compositional work includes a total of 37 texts including Todtsog (group of praises). They exist as an inspiration for disciples. Eventually at Sixty-five year of age, in the year 1590 of Iron Tiger year of Tenth Rabjung of Tibet, the physical aspect was gathered into dharmadhatu.
