Ngawang Kunga Tenpei Gyaltsen
He was born in the water pig year of 14th century in 1863 near Yangpachen in the family of the brother of Great Abbot Palden Choekyong. At 12 years of age, he came to Ngor Phande Guru Abode/palace and was appointed upon the status of a Zhabdrung. From great abbot Jamyang Rinchen Dorje he heard Three Vows and Precious Lamdre Teachings and so on. Meditational retreats were undertaken properly as required. At 15th years of age in Fire Ox year he travelled to Kham (Eastern Tibet). At Gakhog and Lhundrb Teng and so on from Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo, Kunga Tenpei Lodoe and Khen Rinpoche Palden Lodoe Gyaltsen and others he heard and received trio of chakrasamvara, guhyasamaja and bhairava etc many teachings. Further, from Ngari Choeje Kunga Jamyang, Drubtson Sonam Rabgye, Kongtrul Yonten Gyatso, Jamyang Mipham Namgyal, Dhongka Ngawang Dhamchoe Gyaltsen. Kyodha Ngawang Choezin, Nyendrak Lungrig Nyima, Khedrup Jamyang Sherab etc from many eminent masters he received sutra, mantra, and other knowable subjects. Gakhog, Golok, Torthrom, Deghe etc resided for a long time worked for dharma and sentient beings. Having presided over the dharma throne of Ngorchen Vajradhara, he was abbot for five years and he bestowed number of empowerments, oral transmissions, and pithy instructions. His disciples included trio of thartse zhabrung, luding royal son, lamas from tau pon family, lamas of jeu choeling lama, hor nyadrak tulku, two abbots of lhundrub teng, east and west new and dharma kings, deghe dharma king father and son and so on many were produced. Eventually at 37 years of age, in earth pig year of 1899 passes away peacefully.
