Ngorchen Sangay Senge
He was born in the year 1504 of the wooder rat year of the 8th Rabjung as the son of Father Tsewang Norbu and mother Yungdrung Sey Zom at Gura Dedhen at Glorious Sakya in Tibet. He was given the name Lhamo Tsering. He received his vow of an upasaka at 8 years of age from Master Konchok Phel and arrived in Ngor when he was 13 years of age.
From abbot Je Sangey Rinchen and master of ceremony Je Lhachog etc he became a renounced. Was given the name Sangey Senge arrived in Thubten Namgyal.
Successfully completed his training of listening to the teachings of of Logic under Rabjam Mrawa Choedak Gyatso and from Je Lodoe Rabyang.
At the glorious land of Sakya, amidst many scholars including great Sakya translator Jamyang Chenpo, performed vast training of a monk (rabjam drakor). Then returned to Evam. In a ceremony, where the previous preceptor as the abbot, Je Lodroe Rabyang as the preceptor, Nyen Lo as the secret revealer and Je Konchok Lhundrub as the timekeeper ordained the full ordination vows. From many scholars and practitioners including those abbot and preceptor, in particular, from Muechen Sangey Rinchen and from Je Lhachokpa received various types of teachings marked by teachings on pithy instructions of Path and Result many times. Also, under the guidance of eminent teachers and yogis which included Thubten Loppon, Translator of Nyen Dhagchen Wangdrak he listened to and made contemplations. He turned the wheel of dharma extensively in places such as Lowo (mustang, Nepal), Chudue, Mue, Thubten Yangpachen and Thubten Namgyal. He presided over as the abbot of Mue Secret Mantrayana (monastery)? In the Fire Snake year when he was 54, he presided over the throne of Glorious Evam Monastery. Furthermore, at other places and monasteries including at Dre Yul (Sikkim?) Kyed tsal, Nalendra, Chushul Phag Dhong, Zhalu, Narthang, Phodrang Sambruptse, he strengthened/increased the stream of teachings of sutra and mantra by the bestowal of precious teachings of Lam Dre seventeen times etc.
Also, his disciples included Kunga Samdrup brothers, Choeje Sherab Gyaltsen, Zhalu Khenchen Khyentse Wangchuk, Choeje Konchok Palden and many disciples in and around the areas of tsang, central Tibet and kham.
Also, his composition of texts is numerous including a commentary text on the practice of going for refuge, guide to perform the blessing-empowerment of Chakrasamvara of Ghantipa. Eventually at sixty-six years of age in 1569 in the Earth Snake year he passed away.
