Phenkhang Khenpo Kunga Tenpei Lodoe

He was born as the son to Father Kunsang Pedma Rigzin and mother Gang Leg Bhuthrid, in Tashi Choedhing, a Monastery of Yogis behind Glorious Evam Choedhen in the water horse year of the 14th Rabjung in 1822. At nine years of age, he came to Phendhe Ladrang. From Jampa Palden Zangpo received some profound teachings.

He was born as the son to Father Kunsang Pedma Rigzin and mother Gang Leg Bhuthrid, in Tashi Choedhing, a Monastery of Yogis behind Glorious Evam Choedhen in the water horse year of the 14th Rabjung in 1822. At nine years of age, he came to Phendhe Ladrang. From Jampa Palden Zangpo received some profound teachings. Having received Three Vows and dharma associated with precious lam dre teachings from Yogi Jampa Palden Zangpo he held him as the Master of the Race. He got involved in listening and contemplating on the four minor tantras and performed meditational retreats. For the sake of disciples, he travelled to upper GA in eastern Tibet and worked for dharma. At 25 years of age, he came to Ngor again.

From tutor/master Pandita Jamgon Ngawang Lekpa and so on he received profound teachings such as 4 recommended/advised Hevajra and so on. 

At 27 years of age, in the earth monkey year he ascended upon the dharma throne of Ngorchen Vajradhara. From then on until 31st year of age, he shouldered the responsibility of the throne holder. Then having transferred the Labrang’s responsibility of Labrang to Thartse he travelled to Eastern Tibet. He performed the responsibility of performing spiritual tasks for both Gadhen and in particular for deghe dharma king. From Jamgon Khyentse Wangpo he received the teachings of Vajrayogini and Hevajra. From scholar and yogi Kunga Paldhen he received took all teachings as he wanted including Lamdre teachings of Lobshed and Mahakala: both greater and minor and so on all whispered lineage teachings of sakya, ngorpa and tsarpa. 

At places such as Kyegu and Dhonling and so on he turned the wheel of dharma of precious Lamdre teachings. His disciples also included Jetsun Tamdrin Wangmo, Khenchen Ngawang Sonam Gyaltsen, Paldhen Lodroe Gyaltsen, Ngawang Tenpei Gyaltsen, Deghe dharma king paldhen chimed tagpei dorje and so on great numbers of disciples occurred. 

Later stage of his life he dedicated solely in meditational retreat in a solitary place near Ga Tharlam Monastery. Eventually at 63 years of age, in the wooden monkey year of 14th Rabjung in 1884 he passed away.
