School

As per the intention of Ngor Luding Khenchen Vajradhara, junior monks are provided with the opportunity to learn, not only the education concerning the teachings of Buddhism and sacred rituals but also the opportunity to learn their unique language and literature. Also considering the importance of modern education, Tibetan literature and English language also continue to be taught.  Since the establishment of this school until now, few hundred junior monks have completed their basic education and moved on to secure higher education at the tantra college and to other monasteries facilitating higher education.
At this juncture, the school facilitates education level up to year seven from preliminary stage. The primary Tibetan subjects taught here include the texts, published by the Sakya Monlam Fund, known as The Tibetan foundational language text: The treasure of knowledge. Holding this one as the main subject the teaching is ongoing. Along with it, other Tibetan texts published by the Department of Education of Central Tibetan Administration.
English education is based primarily upon the subjects taught within the textbooks of Gulmohar of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) of India. Other general education subjects include study of social science. Maths and science subjects are taught for the further progression of the knowledge of the students. 

The mode of education is not focused just on the specific subjects but the modes of the way of life of an individual such as how to think properly, how to help others, likewise the instructions concerning loving kindness and compassion etc are taught.
Likewise, along with their general subjects, the students are taught to up-skill themselves by participation in different activities, for example all the students are divided into four groups every morning during the assembly. Representatives of those groups are then made to provide presentations or public speaking.
That also with quotation and recitation of Tibetan maxims and sayings within daily activities, recitation of poems, presentation of stories and wondrous talks, question and answer sessions on general knowledge, international news and likewise other activities are promoted including introduction of new textbooks.
As part of monthly activities, various competitive activities are promoted among the student section themselves in the aspects of education fields, for example, debates are conducted about particular topics followed by question and answers and competition in public speaking as well as spelling competition.

The primary goals of these activities are to make the individual students become more competent in their expression of ideas, their critical thinking, and their ability to actualize goals in life and to increase their discernment of right from wrong.
In a similar manner, to ensure and ascertain that the knowledge of the students is not degenerating but instead increasing and improving further, monthly tests are conducted, likewise half-yearly and yearly tests are carried out. Acknowledging their progression students are promoted to the next level of studies and those students who excel well are acknowledged in the form of awards. 
Along with these, students are taken to the library twice a week to make them read books. If the students are interested in books for further reading, the books of the library are hired out to them.
Currently, there are a total of nine staff members which includes 4 Tibetan teachers, four English teachers and one principal. There are currently a total of over 115 students.
